This is not your usual calendar. Commissioned for 2011, this pure gold Miffy calendar celebrated the Year of the Rabbit.

Japanese jewellery maker Ginza Tanaka put on sale the 6 kilogram, 64x40cm pure gold calendar. It was on sale for a colossal 55 million yen which at the time was equivilent to $655,000.
